Full Moon - Super Moon 11/14/2016

8:52 am CT at 22 Taurus, 22 Scorpio
A Super Moon is simply a Moon that is at its perigree – that is, at its closest point to Earth. We had one in October as well. The Super Moons create more of an electric buzz or have more impact on energy levels.

A Full Moon is the time of culmination of the intention you set at the time of the New Moon. It is time to look back over the past couple of weeks and see what you intended and how you have progressed.

Some rituals to try out at this Super Full Moon may consist of writing down your intent for the next cycle, smudging and clearing your home, bathing your crystals in the light of the Full Moon over night to recharge them. You might also make an elixir using a crystal submerged in a glass container of water which you leave out under the Full Moon. (Be careful that you don’t use a crystal that will dissolve or break down in water – I once did this with Angelite.) You then can drink the water – infused with the energy of the crystal.

The Moon in Taurus will be opposite the Sun in Scorpio. They are both Fixed signs – which means they pretty much will dig in their heels if being prodded to change when they’ve made up their mind.

Each Moon sign has a characteristic need for security. In Taurus, there is a need to keep things as they are until such time as they can be assured that a change will not affect their security.

Taurus loves sensuality, and part of that need is met by connecting to the Earth in some way. This need can also be met by doing something physical, be it sex, watercolors or making dinner.

Scorpio is a Water sign, which brings with it the potential of developed intuition or psychic ability. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, and the drive is for intensity, going into the depths to find answers, doing research, transformation, the cycle of birth and death. The occult is associated with Scorpio.

When Scorpio and Taurus are opposing each other it creates tension, and can result in reactions to the stress. Taurus craves security before making a choice, while Scorpio is ready to step out and see what’s out there, take a leap of faith and uncover the answer to a mystery.

Be open, observe and take note of how this Full Super Moon affects you. The more you are aware of the Moon cycles and how they affect you, the more prepared you are to deal with them.

Capricorn Moon 11/4/2016

Capricorn is a Cardinal Earth sign.  Cardinal signs are the enthusiastic initiators of action in the Zodiac, which includes Cancer, Libra, Aries and Capricorn.
There are five planets in Cardinal signs today:  Jupiter in Libra, Uranus in Aries, as well as Moon, Pluto and Mars in Capricorn.
Uranus is square Mars and could indicate extreme rebelliousness, sudden aggression or a competition of strong-willed individuals.
We also have Pluto square to Jupiter.  This is a ruthless energy, which could challenge belief systems.  It could also be expressed as a tremendous desire to succeed, bulldozing past any obstacles.  Sound familiar?

Scorpio New Moon is exact at 12:39 pm CT on 10/30/2016.  Scorpio, ruled by Pluto, is a Water sign, bringing with it the energy of intuition, the desire to research and go where some may fear what can be found.  It is the cycle of life, birth and death.
I like to think of the Phoenix rising from the ashes, one symbol of the transformational power of Pluto.  If you dare, follow your curiosity into the depths of your soul and unearth that which haunts you.  You may come out on the other side enlightened and lightened in spirit, owning that which makes you the person you are.

Labor Day weekend

What did you do over the three day weekend?  I  spent money, did a lot of reading and had acupuncture.

I went shopping for some clothes.  I found a good deal on some pants and sweaters - winter is coming.  I actually tried on a winter coat, but didn't buy...not yet.

I bought a book online.  It didn't happen on purpose.  I was browsing an astrology site (elsaelsa.com) and the site owner was talking about the book "Methland."  She was describing the horrors in the book and how she couldn't put it down.  I won't go into it here, but it was happening in a small town in Iowa.

I clicked the link for the book, and over to Amazon I went.  I have an account set up there, and oops, I hit the one click to order button.  I was considering buying it anyway, since it was pulling me in like a "car wreck you're passing and you can't help but look" hooks.  Ya know what I mean?

I chalked up that oops to Mercury retrograde.  It will pass soon after Mercury goes direct on Sept. 12th.

I had acupuncture on Monday morning.  Dr. Zhou had a very busy clinic on Labor Day.  It was amazing - I usually never wait long, but on a holiday this appointment took an hour and a half.  It usually lasts 45 minutes.  There were people waiting in the lobby when I came out.  There's usually no one waiting.  He is one busy guy!

Time to put away the blog, the laptop and wind down.  Back to work in the morning...

Lunar Eclipse with Cardinal Grand Cross

Wow, yesterday was the lunar eclipse! The energy was intense and continues to be intense. The reason behind this is mainly due to the influence of two planets - Uranus and Pluto.

Uranus and Pluto are approximately 90 degrees apart, or squaring each other. This same configuration happened over 40 years ago in the mid '60s. Think back to the social unrest of those days. Young people were rising up against the powers that be. There were riots in the streets. There were riots in the streets against the G20 last night in Ontario.

Pluto was in Virgo in the 1960s; Pluto is in Capricorn now. Capricorn is socially aware and represents values and reputations. Uranus is in Aries. Aries is exciting, bold, feisty, seeks to discover through experience. Are we to seek out and transform ourselves through experiments? Will technology solve our energy crisis? I predict each community will become independent suppliers of their own energy needs.
